www.familyrelatives.org

A press release from www.familyrelatives.org has been received reporting that their web site offers free access to a searchable data base which will eventually contain all British Overseas Births, Marriages and Deaths from 1761 to the present day. They reflect the history of the British Empire, colonial rule and the transition to the Commonwealth.

There are deaths in foreign conflicts from the American Revolution and the Napoleonic Wars to the Indian Mutiny and the Boer War as well as the births and marriages registered across the Empire and in British Consulates across the Globe. Even the records from the Ionian Islands, now better known as Corfu, a British Protectorate from 1815-1864 together with marine records which register births and deaths at sea and aviation records listing deaths in the air.
